When buying Malamute puppies, please make sure of the following points:
Make sure that the parents are KC registered and the puppies will be - it costs just £12 for a breeder to register a puppy with the Kennel Club
Ensure breeders have hip scored and eye tested their breeding stock, ask to see the BVA paperwork to prove that this has been done. Eye tests should be carried out annually and show clear, hip scores should be around or below the average of 13. This will hopefully save you heartache and costly vet bills.
Avoid breeders who offer delivery or sale without asking you to visit first, they are only interested in your money, not the welfare of the dogs.
ALL Malamutes in the UK have Champions in their bloodlines, don't let this fool you. Ask if the breeder show their dogs or work them in harness.
